- North Las Vegas is home to the main campus of the College of Southern Nevada.
- Public libraries: 2
- Nellis Air Force Base, on the eastern end of North Las Vegas, is the home of the U.S. Air Force Air Warfare Center and employs over 10,000 people.
- The Cheyenne Technology Corridor, a five-mile stretch of office, industrial and retail space with an extensive fiber-optic network, is a winner of the International Economic Development Council Award.
